Don't really like the job, but still can work for the sake of the pay. Initially, the pay offer was S$6.50 per hour, but due to the urgency that they need people desperately, she called me up to increase the pay rate to S$7 per hour. So out of the four days, my friend is working today and tomorrow, and I will be working from Saturday till Sunday.
Hope I strike Toto later.. :-)

My Breakfast & Lunch Together
Ate 5 hot dogs, 2 eggs and four slices of bread with butter and kaya. The first hot dog, I wrapped it with a slice of cheese. However, when put into the frying pan, the cheese sticked to the pan. :-( Then the eggs actually wanted to make it sunny side up, but when put into the pan, the yolk breaks, so I might as well make scramble egg. The Sunshine Traditional Kaya bought from Cold Storage, really tastes good ! Must try !

Singtel Student's Unlimited SMS
Today was a good fine day, when suddenly a massive SMS ATTACK !!! Haha, just over reacting. However, today one of my classmates was really very childish. As he subscribed under the Singtel's Student plan which entitled him to have 500 more free SMSes to Singtel users. So he abused and kept on spamming me "u suck" onto my handphone. Feeling that he was a small boy, i decided not to reply him anything as if I will to reply more, he will spam more. So therefore after about ten mnutes of massive SMS spam, he decided to stop. Haha. So I was thinking, what if someone got spammed by such people and Starhub was offering unlimited SMS for students, what can the person being spammed do? Report to the police? Or report to the phone service provider? Kindly leave your comments of this post and discuss.

Samsung i8510 INNOV8
Its the best Multimedia Symbian S60 Smartphone so far with its 8 MegaPixel Camera. Not only with its high resolution, but also with features like face, smile and blink recognition, auto panorama mode and geotagging. However, the only disadvantage is that there is no xenon flash, but only a double power LED which I think does not do much. This camera will can record video in VGA resolution at 30fps along with slow-mo QVGA video, which will be captured at 120fps.
Screen wise, its the same as my N95 8GB which is at 2.8 inches. Another difference is that this phone have an optical mouse which can be navigate by a mouse arrow on screen. Similarly, it is not a touchscreen phone. Another great point is that this phone have an expansion slot in addition to the 8GB or 16 GB internal storage. People who takes a lot of pictures and videos with large storage space and do not want to bring out too many devices, can consider this, however its known to be very costly.

Cycling @ Pulau Ubin Island
Today I have cycling event at Pulau Ubin, so we were told to meet up at Changi Jetty at 10am. However, one of my friends, told me and Danial to meet for breakfast 8am at Eunos. Its so early, but we managed to meet him at around 8.15am, so end up, he scold us for being late. After having our breakfast at a nearby coffee shop, its only 8.45am, and we were still so early !! We took bus 2 and reaches Changi Jetty at around 9.40am. We waited around 10.35am before we were set off towards Pulau Ubin. The whole cycling was quite fun, but the only bad thing was that there were too much mosquitoes !! Damn ! Got splashed by a pool of mud along one of the path. What a tiring day ! Took this picture on the boat while the way back.

Botak Jones
Today I went to have lunch with my friends to Botak Jones Clementi's outlet. As I had tried fish & chip before some time ago, I decided to try Cajun Chicken which costs $7.50, $1 more than fish & chip which costs at $6.50. When my friends' fish & chip was served, the servings i saw were simply great ! However to my disappointment, my cajun chicken was served and the serving was horrible ! It was just one! and only one small piece !! My friends' fish & chip were exactly the same size as the picture and mine was half the serving as shown in the picture !! Pissed off !

Samsung i900 Omnia
I would say the best handphone in the current market is this model, Samsung i900 Omnia. Although its using Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and PDA phones were used to be rectangle and square form, this phone rocks in terms of design. All along, I would prefer to own a candy bar type of phone, due to the fact that it is much more slimmer that any user can just put it into their pocket without having it bulged out. It also comes with a 5 mega-pixel camera which is hardly seen as a PDA phones. Most PDA phones will have at most a 3.2 Mega-pixel camera. Whats great about the storage is that it has an internal memory of 8GB or 16GB (depending on the model), and it has also micro sd slot for further storage. I guess that Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional will be a much stable OS as compared with the PDA phones I used last time with Windows Mobile 5.0. This phone also have a generous display screen of 3.2 inches. Although I have not owned any Samsung PDA-phone before, but I highly recommend anyone to get it, if you are looking for a great phone at this time.

No Internet Connection (Day 2 Morning) 22 July 2008
This is my second day without internet connection at home. The updates of yesterday had been posted today due to the cause of disconnection.
No Internet Connection (Day 1) 21 July 2008
No internet connection for me today, as I had not paid for the internet bills. Today is also a rainy day and somehow the weather made me felt sleepy and moody. However, I received an unexpected message from someone that made me smile once again. During the lesson in class, nothing special happened.
After school, I went to Funan Mall to buy the brand new HP MiniNote 2133 from one of the guy I met in the forum, he will collect from HP shop directly. However, there was a big crowd at level 6 of funan, where everyone is creating a scene complaining to the management. They said that the stock would ship in much later during mid August. Many people said that it was ridiculous as the letter stated earlier that the date of collection was on that day. So I had no choice, but to delay till then to buy the laptop for my father. Hehe ! Feeling “evil”, I enjoyed watching the people acting out a drama for everyone to watch.
Lastly, after leaving funan, I quickly rushed to Venture Era again. There was an event that was held every month on new updates and power sharing. So at one point, I did learnt some valuable stuffs. At the other hand, I was “Sabot” to go up on stage to introduce myself and to tell the crowd why I wanted to join Multi-Level Marketing company. So being stage fright and nervous, I was talking rubbish unnaturally and was like “buay” in the introduction. Sigh, I just don’t got used to public speaking yet. One to one was okay, but not talking to a large group of people. At that moment of time, I did felt very worried and scared, because I may leave an awful impression to others. I will remain being the best that I could for the next training, I must learn to be the best one day to achieve my goal !

Oh No ! The start of the week is here again...
Its going to be Monday soon and the problem is that I had not started doing my mathematics homework yet. Really got to mood to do it. This coming week will be a tiring one, as I got to really get started for java test and maths test. Furthermore, I have to try solving the FE and Java project asap.
Anyway, tomorrow will be going down to funan at 6pm to buy the laptop from someone for my father. After which, got to rush down to Venture Era again for the second training. I would say that the first training was a positive and fun one. I heard many people who give up at the start, cos they said that it is difficult and its a scam, however on the other hand, I also heard successful stories from people that is even younger than me. But from my own view, I think it is okay for me to try, as I do not lose out in anything. So I shall try it out.

Operating Systems and my laptop
Firstly, my laptop was officially down since yesterday. Just because of one of my classmates who threatened me to do a e-recovery of my whole laptop. So I started to reformat my laptop. It is a long story. Think I will go and self-cert at my school for the SP Image. At least, I can use Windows XP Professional for free.
Secondly, I had just posted this morning about my problem to Acer Singapore though their website. Still don't know what will be their advice. But one thing to say was that ACER SUCKS !! The Recovery DVD was supposed to help recover our laptops, but its giving me several more problems as expected.
Thirdly, Windows Vista sucks to the core. I would rate it as the most unfriendly and "make the user look like an idiot" OS. Initially, I was able to surf the internet, but after updating the Windows Vista's patches, my laptop is just able to connect to the router, but not to the internet. I had tried several ways to troubleshoot, but it just couldn't connect to the internet.
Overall view was that I think Windows XP rocks and Windows Vista is simply useless. Waiting for Windows 7 to be out. From now onwards, I would definitely boycott Acer for my whole life. At least my Asus EeePC is still useful after all.

No more new stocks for Windows XP anymore !
Windows XP is no longer supplied to shops anymore. So if you saw it selling at the shops, its probably the last few left on the shelves. Time to move on with the new OS, Windows Vista. Microsoft will still give support and patches to bugs on the timeline based on the below table.

Kaspersky Internet Security
Just for sharing.
Guess I gonna get this when I have the money. Of course AVG is a good product too. So I will choose whatever that is cheaper. Internet Security is important to us, as most of us will tend to enter rubbish websites that made our PCs or laptops sick. So prevention is better than cure, better to get one early or be sorry.

The Job Interview
Dots.. The person that call me had been lying all the while. First of all, its not an IT company dealing with IT stuffs. Secondly, it is not a new company as the business had been operating since 2001.. Lastly, they kept explaining that its not being a salesman, but the concept they were explaining were the same.
However, this is a multi-level marketing. One thing that I'm amazed was that the place is filled with mostly teens, and I couldn't believe that the manager was just 18 years old !! I really don't know how they got my number. Think i shall just give it a try.

Bought a 1GB Kingston 50X SD Card
Bought a 1GB Kingston 50X SD Card. Tried using it to transfer data. Wow, its really fast. The transfer rate of this is 7.5 MB/second. Anyway, bought this just for testing and store some of my stuff. Still deciding which to buy for my EeePC. There is SDHC which is able to store more data and in the current market, 32GB is available. On the other hand, one of SD card possess lightning transfer speed of 22.5 MB/second. If I'm not wrong, the fastest SD card capacity is up to 8GB.
A further analysis for those who are considering
I'm boasting about my EeePC again. No la, just to further let those people who are considering to get this EeePC to see the real size. My hand is an average size among the guys, so my hand can actually cover the whole screen and the keyboard.

Wat a day !
Today I had a class from 10am - 12pm. It was a normal day like every other friday, however, the bus service today really pissed me off ! I waited at the bus stop since 8.45am. 25 minutes had passed and I am really getting impatient.. So I smsed for the timing of the next bus, it said that the next bus would be arriving in 10 minutes time, however, another damn 15 minutes had passed and still no sign of that bus. The bus stop was really packed with people and it seems that everyone were pissed off too. So I saw a number of them took taxi. Then its 9.45am, still, the bus was not there yet.. I'm so pissed off that I really don't want to go to class today, as I would be very late even if I took a cab to school ! Sigh!

Slow Trip Home...
Created this post for the first time using my EeePC. Really love it very much ! Today, nothing much had happened, except for my friend who lost his bag after class ends. I thought that it is a plank set by my friend, unfortunately, its not a joke. Its really gone ! I hope he is able to find his bag back.
Took the bus 196 back home, as usual, took 90 minutes plus to reach home. Slept for about 30 - 40 minutes in the bus. So tired ! Nothing much to post.

Monday Blues..
Sigh ! Its monday tomorrow, and I got to wake up at 6am, just to get ready to school and reach class on time at 8am. Furthermore, first lesson is practical, and gonna pack together with everyone in the MRT. So boring.. This week is a rather tiring week, as I got to spend time working on projects with my classmates after school. The only thing that I am looking forward is to meet up with my friends this friday for dinner together.

Interesting Sucker Device
Today, I went to Sim Lim Square, after spending two hours at Sim Lim Square, on the way to bugis village, I saw a man explaining about a product, so I decided to take a look as there is a crowd surrounding it. I found it amazing as it could suck those kind of "hard to remove" fabric balls which is caused while spinning in the washing machine. The man demonstrates it and its great. It costs S$12, so I just buy it as I have similar problems encountered on my pants and shirts.

MST Results and ...
Finally I got to know all the results of my modules, had not been performing well.. Certain modules were unexpectally poor which is due to stupid and careless mistakes. I must learn not to be careless and the only solution of preventing it, is to keep practicing. This two months will be packed with submission of projects and studies for the final term examinations. Although I hate to have exams, but everyone still have to go through. I really do hope that my results will be better in the finals, so I could rest and enjoy myself during the holidays, to work for my plans.
Something bad lately had also happened to me at the same time. Someone very close to me had just passed away a few days ago. These memories will always be with me and will not be lost till the day I die. I wished the person could revive and be in this world once again, but it will never happen. But I hope my wish will come true and the person will appear in front of me again.

You can still get a meal for less than $2.50 in many places
SINGAPOREANS can still get a proper meal at $2.50 or less at a large number of outdoor eateries, even as global prices of staple foods continue to rise.
Fragrant rice prices, for example, have doubled since September last year, while meat and cooking oil now cost a lot more.
But price checks of 388 stalls at 132 eateries carried out by the Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) over a two-week period last month showed that 60 per cent of five popular dishes - chicken nasi briyani, chicken rice, fishball noodles, plain roti prata and mixed rice (with two vegetables and one meat) showed that 60 per cent of them cost $2.50 and below.
Case released the results of its first cooked food price survey on Friday.
Conducted by 20 mystery diners - including Case officers and volunteers - between May 21 and June 6, the survey did not consider the quality or quantity of the samples.
The result: Of the 388 food stalls, 240 or 60 per cent of them had dishes for $2.50 and below.
And at 13 stalls, one can get a meal for less than $2.
Said Case's vise-president Lim Biow Chuan: 'We received a lot of feedback from Singaporeans about the increase in food prices. As a consumer association, our intention is to make the information available to the public in a transparent manner.'
'And as a consumer, now you know there are options available to you. And that you can find a store that suits your budget.'

Money, Money, and Money
Everything costs money. School fees, laptops, study materials, transports, and even girls !! I had no choice but to force myself in taking up part-time job in order to get my toto tickets every two days in a week. I will need to strike it big. To stay on being rich, we must first be rich. To be rich suddenly, is to depend on luck. To depend on luck, we need money or funds to be available.
